Last updated: June 25, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how AI Resume Maker collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our mobile app, website, and related services. By using the service, you acknowledge that your information may be handled as described in this policy.
2. Information we collect
We may collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, account details, resume content, uploaded resume files, cover letters, profile details, work history, education details, skills, job descriptions, interview answers, support requests, optional attachments, and any other content you choose to submit through the service.
We may also collect subscription, plan, credit, billing, and transaction-related records, along with device, app, log, diagnostic, usage, and analytics information such as device type, operating system, app version, approximate region, crash data, feature usage, request metadata, and timestamps.
3. How we use information
We use information to operate and improve AI Resume Maker, create and edit resumes and cover letters, provide ATS scans and job-description matching, generate AI-assisted suggestions, support authentication and account management, process subscriptions and credits, respond to support requests, maintain security, prevent abuse, troubleshoot technical issues, analyze product performance, and comply with legal obligations.
4. AI processing and user content
When you use AI-powered features, the content you submit, such as resume text, uploaded resumes, job descriptions, cover letters, and interview responses, may be processed by third-party AI or cloud providers for the purpose of generating suggestions, reviews, summaries, matching results, or other requested outputs.
You should avoid submitting highly sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for your intended use of the service. AI-generated results can be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated, so you are responsible for reviewing and approving all output before relying on it or sharing it with employers.
5. Legal bases and permitted use
Where applicable under local law, we process information because it is necessary to provide the services you request, to support our legitimate business interests such as security, quality improvement, and fraud prevention, to comply with legal obligations, or based on your consent where consent is required.
6. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information in the ordinary meaning of the term. We may share information with service providers and vendors that help us operate the service, including hosting providers, authentication providers, database and storage providers, customer support tools, analytics services, payment processors, app store platforms, and AI infrastructure providers.
We may also disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, to enforce our terms, to investigate fraud or security issues, to protect our rights or the safety of users or others, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or asset sale.
7. Third-party services
Our service may rely on providers such as Firebase and related authentication services for account access, Supabase for support-related storage and operational workflows, cloud hosting and infrastructure vendors, app stores or payment providers for purchases and subscriptions, analytics or logging services, and AI providers for feature execution. Those providers may process information under their own privacy terms and security practices.
8. Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain your account, process purchases, preserve product and support history, prevent fraud and abuse, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain backups, and satisfy legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory requirements.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information, whether the account remains active, the sensitivity of the data, and whether continued retention is required for security, billing, dispute resolution, or compliance purposes. When you request account deletion, we will delete or de-identify eligible account data and may retain limited records where necessary for billing, fraud prevention, security, legal compliance, and backup integrity.
9. Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. However, no internet, cloud, storage, or transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute security.
10. Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access to personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion of certain information, restriction or objection to certain processing, portability where available, or withdrawal of consent when processing is based on consent.
You may also be able to control some data through your account, device permissions, app store subscription settings, or by contacting us. To request account deletion, you can raise a support request from within the app using the Delete Account category or follow the steps on our Account Deletion page. We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests, and some requests may be limited where retention is required for legal, security, billing, or operational reasons.
11. International processing
Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, including locations where our service providers operate. Those countries may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.
12. Children's privacy
AI Resume Maker is not intended for children under 13, or under any higher minimum age required by applicable law in your region. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child in violation of applicable law, we may delete that information and take steps to close the related account.
13. Policy changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the service, legal requirements, or our data practices. When we make material changes, we may update the effective date on this page and take additional steps where required by law.
